Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane’s proposed transfer to German giants Bayern Munich has, late on Thursday night, taken a major step forward.

The name of frontman Kane, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the media headlines once more across the day to date.

This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that, at long last, an agreement had been struck between the respective boards at Spurs, and Bayern, over a transfer for the England international.

As first reported by David Ornstein of The Athletic, the two clubs have found common ground on a deal worth in excess of €100 million.

And yet, in the hours which followed, a host of sources in Germany pointed towards the deal remaining some way off completion.

This came amid claims that a number of obstacles remained to be overcome, with Kane himself still mulling over the merits of staying put in north London.

As per David Ornstein, amongst others:

‘Harry Kane has agreed to join Bayern Munich and personal terms are in place on a proposed four-year contract.’

The 30-year-old is now awaiting the go ahead from the powers that be at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, to travel to Munich to undergo a medical with Thomas Tuchel’s side.
