Harry Kane has revealed that talks took place with several clubs last summer but joining FC Bayern was always his priority.
One of those clubs is understood to be Manchester United who had been looking for a new number 9.
United instead signed Rasmus Højlund and on Wednesday, Kane will be lining up against them for Bayern Munich.
Kane: “I know there were talks between a few clubs…”
The 30-year-old has made a flying start to life in Munich having scored four goals in four games.
He joined Bayern to play in the biggest matches and tomorrow evening he will be featuring for them in the Champions League against Man United.
However, despite talks over a potential move to Old Trafford, Kane claims he was only ever focused on joining the German champions.
“There weren’t many other discussions when they came in and the deal got done.
“My focus is on here, Manchester United are a great club and a big club too, but I decided to come here and I’m glad I did.”
