Manchester United are looking to push through a deal to sign Ajax forward Antony in the coming hours.

The Red Devils are expected to submit a new €95 million bid and the winger is also pushing for the move.

However, complications in Ajax’s pursuit of a replacement could spell bad news for United.

Ajax struggling to agree Ziyech deal

According to De Telegraaf, negotiations between Ajax, Hakim Ziyech and Chelsea are currently deadlocked.

The Dutch club are struggling to agree deals with both the Blues and the 29-year-old.

Ajax want to sign him on loan and are willing to pay half his €10 million salary.

Chelsea are further complicating a deal by asking for €44 million for the Morrocan.

A permanent deal would be near impossible for Ajax who would be unable to pay such a high fee and afford the player’s extortionate wages.

The Dutch publication add that this could be bad news for Antony and Manchester United.

Alfred Schreuder’s side must now decide whether to sign Ziyech, go for a cheaper alternative, keep Antony or sell the Brazilian and stick with what they have.

Ajax were confident of Ziyech’s return but this latest development could now throw Antony’s move to Old Trafford in some slight doubt.
