Chelsea are working on a deal to bring in a new midfielder today.
The Blues are understood to have bid for Ajax’s Edson Álvarez.
The Dutch club are reluctant to sell him, however, the player looks desperate to make the move happen.

It is being reported by De Telegraaf that Edson Álvarez has refused to train with Ajax this morning.
Chelsea have made him an offer which cannot be refused of more than €50 million across five years.
The midfielder also sees the Blues as one of his dream destainations and he is desperate to make the move.
Ajax are yet to reject Chelsea’s bid for the 24-year-old and the player is hopeful that there is room to negotiate.
Chelsea’s current offer is believed to be €50 million.
