Cristiano Ronaldo is currently on the books of Manchester United, but his days at Old Trafford look numbered.
Ronaldo tried to leave Old Trafford during the summer transfer window, but his wages and age made any move difficult.
CR7 was forced to stay in Manchester for the first half of this season, but has been reduced to a fringe role by Erik ten Hag.
Ronaldo then left Old Trafford early after his side’s 2-0 win over Tottenham and was subsequently banned from the first-team by Ten Hag – training with the under-21 side on Friday and playing no part vs Chelsea over the weekend.
So, it seems likely that Ronaldo will be on the move in January. But where will he end up?
Fabrizio Romano recently spoke about Newcastle signing Ronaldo, but the newly-minted side do not appear interested right now:
On Napoli links, Romano added: “I’ve seen reports that Napoli are now the most likely destination for Cristiano Ronaldo, but that’s not my current understanding of the situation. “Napoli have Osimhen, Simeone and Raspadori as strikers, so I don’t see them joining the race for Ronaldo in January – at least, nothing ongoing as of today.”
