The player in question is Ivan Fresneda, who is a product of Real Valladolid’s academy.
Valladolid boss Pacheta has already revealed that he expects Fresneda’s departure sooner rather than later, and has previously claimed that the teenager plays with a wisdom and maturity well beyond his years:
“I think Fresneda has few games left with the Real Valladolid shirt. He is 18 years old, but he does things that people of 30 do”, he explained.
“If I was at another club, I would go for him without hesitation, his data is brutal and you are not buying the current player, you are buying what he can become in a few years.”
The right-back has so far made 21 appearances for the Spanish outfit, including 17 in 2022/23.
Now, his starring displays have garnered interest from Arsenal.
He stated, “I like Arteta a lot because I think he’s a great coach; I follow the European leagues and I think the work he’s doing with his club is fantastic,
“But now with Pezzolano and before with Pacheta we do that style of play, and that style is the one I like the most.”
