Italian giants Inter Milan have identified an up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at Arsenal as a potential addition to the club’s frontline this summer, according to reports.
This, of course, comes fresh off the bombshell news of Inter pulling the plug on their long-running pursuit of Chelsea star Romelu Lukaku.
After being made aware of Lukaku’s decision to negotiate with arch rivals Juventus, the powers that be at San Siro are understood to have informed their Chelsea counterparts that they are no longer interested in bringing the Belgian back to Milan.
The Nerazzurri, in turn, will now be forced to turn their attentions elsewhere, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements up top.
And, on Saturday evening, an insight into the early candidates to fill this role has been provided.
The info comes courtesy of Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has revealed that Arsenal talent Folarin Balogun has made his way towards the top of Inter’s wishlist.
On the other hand, in the case of a more experienced name being favoured, all of Spezia standout M’Bala Nzola, Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata, and Porto star Mehdi Taremi are being considered.
@MatteoBarzaghi
