Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has, on Monday evening, provided an update on the wellbeing of his squad.
Klopp, of course, led his side back into action a short time ago.
Aware that they could scarcely afford further dropped points on the back of an opening day Premier League stalemate with Fulham, the Reds welcomed Crystal Palace to Merseyside.
When all was said and done, however, Liverpool’s search for a first victory of the campaign went on.
This came as a hard-fought 90 minutes, which included summer arrival Darwin Nunez being dismissed for violent conduct, culminated in a 1-1 final scoreline.
It was visitors Palace who opened the scoring at Anfield, talisman Wilfried Zaha putting the finishing touches on a superb breakaway against the run of play:

Their 2nd successive draw to open the campaign, though, represents just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Liverpool’s concerns at present.
This comes with the Merseysiders also in the midst of something of a personnel crisis.
After being left with little choice but to afford starts to the likes of James Milner and Nat Phillips on Monday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of injuries was put to Jurgen Klopp post-match.
And the German went on to provide updates on the wellbeing of four members of his squad.
Joel Matip, for one, is expected to spend the coming fortnight on the sidelines.
The absences of Jordan Henderson and Joe Gomez from his XI to face Palace, meanwhile, came owing to recent injury issues, too:

The latest on Roberto Firmino proved of a more encouraging nature, though, amid hope that the Brazilian will be available to feature at Old Trafford next weekend.
