The Blues have just spent £89m to land Mykhailo Mudryk from under the noses of Arsenal.
However, it appears they are not quite done spending big money on attackers.
This comes with RB Leipzig sporting director Max Eberl confirming that forward Christopher Nkunku will join Chelsea this summer.
A move worth over £50m was agreed as far back as October.
Speaking to BILD, Eberl said: “The signs are very, very clear that he’s moving to Chelsea.”
Nkunku has scored 17 and assisted four in 23 matches across all competitions for RB Leipzig this summer.
After signing both Mudryk and Joao Felix, with a summer move for Christopher Nkunku also lined up, Chelsea have a rather inflated forward line.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Armando Broja, David Fofana, Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Felix and Mudryk are all currently competing for three/four spots in Graham Potter’s attack.
As a result, some form of clear-out is expected on the part of Chelsea either in January or in the coming summer transfer window.
