Premier League giants Liverpool are on the verge of closing a deal for their first summer signing, according to reports.
And what an addition it looks set to be.
As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, RB Leipzig standout Dominik Szoboszlai can now, for all intents and purposes, be considered a Liverpool player.
This comes after the powers that be on the red half of Merseyside informed their counterparts at the Red Bull Arena of their decision to activate the gifted midfielder’s release clause.
A €70 million deal between the clubs, in turn, is viewed as imminent.
Szoboszlai, for his part, has already agreed to the terms of a contract with Jurgen Klopp’s side, with a medical therefore set to be pencilled in for the days ahead.

This comes after the Hungarian was identified as the ideal addition to a severely under-manned midfield core at Anfield.
Szoboszlai, fresh off a fine season which saw him rack up a head-turning haul of 10 goals and 13 assists in Leipzig colours, marks the 2nd summer reinforcements to Jurgen Klopp’s ranks in the middle of the park, after Alexis Mac Allister was brought in from Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this month.
