It is claimed the Reds met with 22-year-old’s representatives this week with a view to a transfer in the summer.

Szoboszlai has a €70 million release clause in his contract with conflicting reports over its expiry, with any move set to be a significant financial outlay.
The Hungarian is high in Liverpool’s thinking amid interest in the likes of both Nice’s Khephren Thuram and Southampton’s Romeo Lavia as well.
Arsenal initially tried to sign Szoboszlai in 2021 before his switch to Germany but, of course, failed to do so, and have since moved on to other targets such as Kai Havertz and Declan Rice.
Szoboszlai made 46 appearances in all competitions for RB Leipzig last season, scoring 10 and assisting 13 in the process.
