A major update in the ongoing saga surrounding the future of Brighton & Hove Albion star Moises Caicedo has been revealed late on Thursday night.
This comes amid mounting claims that the in-demand midfielder is, at long last, on the verge of sealing a move away from the Amex.
His alleged destination, however, is not Chelsea, the long-term favourites for his signature.
Instead, Caicedo, it is claimed, is inching towards a big-money move to Premier League rivals Liverpool.
As per a report from Alex Crook of talkSPORT, regarded as reliable when it comes to news involving Brighton:
‘Liverpool [are] close to agreeing deal in excess of £100m for Moisés Caicedo.’

Such news has since been backed by Liverpool ITK Melissa Reddy, too, who points towards a ‘swing’ in Liverpool’s favour in the race for Caicedo.
Significantly, though, it is also noted that Chelsea, for their part, ‘are not out of the equation yet’.
Could another ‘swing’ yet be in store?
