Arsenal have been linked with Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio for some time now.
Asensio has struggled for regular minutes since Carlo Ancelotti’s return to Real Madrid.
The Spaniard has completed 90 minutes in La Liga on just two occasions so far this season.
However, he has still been able to chip in with three goals and three assists in the competition.
And now, with Asensio out of contract in Madrid this summer, his future is being called into question.
The 27-year-old would be an excellent pick up on a free for most sides and as Arsenal are not in the same league as Los Blancos, the Gunners can sign a pre-contract agreement with Asensio.
“He looks good to me, I don’t know if he will stay or not. He may or may not stay, I don’t know, I don’t care much. We have a very important challenge this season. The important thing is that he is contributing, like last year. Let him continue like this, and the club will make the most appropriate decision,” said Ancelotti on Asensio.
