Premier League champions Manchester City are readying a mammoth offer for the club’s chief summer target, according to reports.
The player in question? Josko Gvardiol.
The name of stopper Gvardiol has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines on the blue half of Manchester over the course of the last 24 hours.
This comes after reports came to the fore, pointing towards the RB Leipzig standout agreeing to the personal terms of a contract with Pep Guardiola’s side.
As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:
‘Understand Manchester City have now agreed personal terms with Joško Gvardiol’.

Pep Guardiola rates Joško highly.
Talks will take place between clubs; RB Leipzig hope to keep Gvardiol, won’t sell for less than €100m.

Guardiola is understood to have identified Gvardiol as his no.1 summer target, ahead of the expected departure of Aymeric Laporte.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, the powers that be in Manchester appear ready to do whatever it takes to ensure that the club’s beloved headmaster gets his man.
As per a report from Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato, City are ‘preparing’ an opening offer for Gvardiol, worth an eye-watering €120 million.
This of course includes potentially significant bonuses, but will nevertheless no doubt be a tough proposal for the brass at Leipzig to turn down.
