Riyad Mahrez has left Manchester City to join Al-Ahli Saudi Football Club.
Mahrez joined the Sky Blues from Leicester in 2018 in a £60m deal. Since then he has won the Premier League four times as well as two FA Cups, three Carabao Cups, two Community Shields and the Champions League once.
Mahrez’s exit comes at an awkward time for the Sky Blues as their season kicks off this weekend with a Community Shield clash vs Arsenal, but they now have no natural right-winger.
Following Mahrez’s exit, Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise was touted as a replacement for the Algerian.
Olise is Premier League proven and still yet to reach his full potential. However, a second name has been linked as a Mahrez replacement this week.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have added Rennes winger Jeremy Doku to the list of people who could replace Riyad Mahrez in the City set-up.
Doku scored seven and assisted four in 35 outings across all competitions last campaign.
