According to Daily Mail’s Jack Gaughan, Manchester City’s players are desperate for Kyle Walker to remain at the club amid speculation he could move to Bayern Munich.
Kyle Walker joined Manchester City in the summer of 2017 from Tottenham for around £45m.
The now 33-year-old has enjoyed a historic stint in Manchester, scoring six and assisting 18 in 254 outings across all competitions. Walker has won five Premier League titles, four League Cups, two FA Cups, two Community Shields and one Champions League.
However, the Bundesliga champions have already agreed personal terms with the England defender, though both clubs are yet to agree on a transfer fee for the 33-year-old.
Kyle Walker’s departure would leave a major hole in Manchester City’s squad with just a few weeks until the new season gets underway.
Walker’s departure on top of Joao Cancelo likely leaving after his falling out with Pep Guardiola would mean City have zero first-team full-backs ahead of 2023/24.
