Frenkie de Jong is being linked with a Manchester United switch once more.

One of the main stories of the 2022 summer transfer window was Frenkie de Jong being linked with Manchester United.

Erik ten Hag took the reins at Old Trafford last summer and was searching for a central midfielder capable of linking defence and attack.

The Dutchman enjoyed success at Ajax with De Jong a key figure in his side and with Barcelona looking to raise funds, a reunion with his former manager looked possible.

However, De Jong stayed put and United ended up bringing in Christian Eriksen to partner Casemiro.

But with the 2023 summer window officially open later this week, Man United are once again being linked with a move for the Dutchman.

It is added that both Man United and Bayern Munich are remaining active in the summer transfer market, and are looking to take advantage of what’s going on in Catalonia at present.
