Manchester United’s lack of striking options has been clear for some time now.
Wout Weghorst joined the club on loan in January to help plug the gap for the second half of the season.
However, when the summer roles around, it is clear Manchester United will be in the market for a top no.9.
One of the names being linked is Harry Kane of Tottenham and England.
Kane’s future in north London is up in the air amid more struggles from a Spurs side who continue to look very unlikely to lift a trophy anytime soon.
However, Manchester United and any other potential suitors have been dealt a blow on the Kane front on Monday morning.
Kane’s involvement at the World Cup and Spurs’ focus on the January transfer window has limited the opportunity for talks between the two parties of late.
But conversations are planned for once the winter market shuts and, if the circumstances are right, Kane is open to signing a new deal.
