The player in question is Antoine Griezmann.
According to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, Atletico Madrid have the option to sign the player permanently for a fee of around €25m but clubs like Manchester United are keeping tabs on his situation as well.
The report adds that Atletico Madrid have an obligation to sign the player permanently if certain conditions are met.
What those conditions are is not mentioned in the report from Fichajes, but Griezmann had a superb 2022/23 campaign for the La Liga side.
The 32-year-old scored 15 and assisted 17 in 38 La Liga outings for Atletico across the campaign, which is very impressive considering he spent a number of games operating behind the striker.
In terms of Manchester United’s interest, the fact Griezmann is 32 years of age is not ideal for the Red Devils who need to rebuild their squad for the future.
Arsenal told they can sign ‘Turkish Lionel Messi’ for €17.5m
