Manchester United are interested in signing the Bayer Leverkusen defender, Jeremie Frimpong.
The Manchester City academy graduate joined Leverkusen in 2021 from Celtic.
He has since made 77 appearances for the German outfit and is currently in the midst of an excellent campaign.
Frimpong has scored five goals and assisted seven in 30 ties across all competitions so far this term, all whilst operating as a right-back/right-wing-back.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Manchester United’s pursuit of Frimpong:
“Despite strong claims about Manchester United edging closer to signing Jeremie Frimpong, I’m told there’s nothing concrete on this one,” Romano said.
“The priority is to extend Diogo Dalot’s contract, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka has also improved a lot and ended up staying in January.”
