A fresh insight into the summer transfer plans of Premier League giants Manchester United has been provided on Friday evening.

And the news, unsurprisingly, surrounds potential additions up top.

The last 24 hours have of course seen the subject of much-needed reinforcements at centre-forward take its place front and centre in the chatter surrounding Man United once more.

This comes after the Red Devils’ woes up top were laid bare for all too see yet again, en route to a hard-fought defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion.

After Anthony Martial struggled to make any sort of impact on proceedings at the Amex, replacement Wout Weghorst too saw his efforts come up short, culminating in fresh calls across the United fanbase for a new centre-forward to be brought in with a view to next season.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media late on Friday is anything to go by, then it would appear that one such target has already been identified.

Frontman Kolo Muani has enjoyed a stellar season to date, his first on the books of Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt.

All told, across 41 appearances, the French international – who also played a key role for his country at last year’s World Cup – has racked up a head-turning 21 goals and 15 assists.

And such production, it would appear, has firmly caught the eye of the aforementioned United, amid claims that the Reds are ready to challenge both Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain for his signature.

In fact, RMC go as far as to suggest that Kolo Muani is viewed as a ‘priority’ signing at Old Trafford, albeit with his alleged €100 million price-tag representing a potential stumbling block for any and all interested parties.
