According to a report from the Mirror, Manchester United are keen on signing 32-year-old Bundesliga goalkeeper Kevin Trapp, who is valued at £10 million.
For the reported asking price of £10 million, the 32-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper could prove a real steal for Manchester United.
Trapp, who joined Frankfurt from PSG in 2019, is currently under contract with the German outfit until 2026 with the option of a further year.
The 32-year-old has featured 304 times for the Bundesliga side, managing to keep 69 clean sheets in the process.
The Red Devils have been targeting a new no.1 heading into the 2023/24 campaign, with David de Gea still yet to officially sign a new contract with United despite his last deal running out earlier this week.
The main player tipped for a Man United switch in recent weeks has been Inter Milan’s Andrea Onana after Chelsea withdrew their interest in the shot-stopper.
As a result, Trapp is a much more cost-effective alternative given United’s limited transfer budget.
