Manchester United are working on a deal to bring a new striker to Old Trafford.

Rasmus Højlund is the Red Devils’ number one target and they are currently working on a deal.

However, Atalanta are requesting a substantial fee for the 20-year-old and that is forcing United to start lining up alternatives.

Kolo-Muani being lined-up

Manchester United are also in talks over a deal to sign Randal Kolo-Muani, according to the Telegraph.

United want Højlund but are only willing to pay £60 million, whilst Atalanta are asking for £86 million.

The Red Devils have already spent £99 million following the signings of Andre Onana and Mason Mount.

United are adamant that they will sign another forward this summer, although not necessarily an out-and-out number 9.

They hold a firm interest in Ajax’s Mohamed Kudus, meanwhile, Harry Kane and Joao Felix have previously been looked at.
