A report from 90 Min claims that Liverpool and Manchester are keeping tabs on Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini.
Scouts from Liverpool and Man United were in attendance to watch Italy’s Euro 2024 qualifying clash against Ukraine earlier this month and Scalvini was on their radar.
It is added that the 19-year-old defender has been watched multiple times by Manchester United when they were scouting Rasmus Hojlund and Liverpool have now joined the race as well.
No transfer fee is mentioned in the report for Scalvini, who is under contract with Atalanta until the summer of 2027.
The centre-back joined his current side as a youngster in 2015, moving from Brescia’s academy.
Despite his age, Scalvini has gone on to featured 58 times for Atalanta’s senior side, scoring three and assisting two in the process.
