The player in question is Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt.
Muani joined Frankfurt last summer and the striker has gone on to have a very impressive debut season in Germany.
He has scored 16 goals and provided 14 assists in 34 outings across all competitions so far this season.
And now, Manchester United have learned how much a move for Muani would set them back.
Reporter Jonathan Johnson has suggested that Manchester United will have to pay €120m to land Muani’s services:
“Randal Kolo Muani has been strongly linked with Manchester United and he’s a very interesting player. It might feel to some like he’s been a bit of an overnight success, but we saw his quality during his time in Ligue 1 with Nantes. That move to Eintracht Frankfurt and his exposure to European football has boosted his profile massively, and there have been whispers that Bayern Munich have been looking at him as well,” he wrote.
