Premier League giants Manchester United have found a new home for forward Mason Greenwood late on deadline day, it has been revealed.
For those not aware, the powers that be on the red half of Manchester have long been hard at work, in a bid to offload Greenwood from the club’s books.
This comes after confirmation was forthcoming last week that the England international would never line out for the club again, on the back of a lengthy investigation spanning over half a year.
Owing to fan backlash, any club who subsequently entered the fray in the hopes of taking Greenwood off the hands of the Red Devils quickly withdrew their interest, leaving the Man United brass in something of a quandary.
As alluded to above, though, late on Friday evening, a new suitor has both entered the fray, and swiftly pushed a deal for the 21-year-old over the line.
The outfit in question? Getafe.

Manchester United, meanwhile, have also released a statement regarding the transfer, confirming that it comes with a view to ‘enabling Greenwood to begin to rebuild his career away from United’.
