According to Italian outlet Il Mattino, Manchester United are set to complete the €60m transfer of Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae on July 1.
The report states that Erik ten Hag’s side will trigger the buy-out clause in Kim’s contract, which will be active during the first 15 days of July.
It is added that the player has accepted the club’s contract offer of £9m-per-year, which accounts for around £175,000-per-week.
Kim Min-jae has only been with Napoli since the summer of 2022 but he is already one of the best centre-backs in the Serie A.
The stopper was crucial to the Naples-based outfit clinching the Serie A title in 2022/23 with a superb defensive record.
Should Manchester United indeed get the deal done on July 1, it will be interesting to see what happens to the likes of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof.
Tottenham and Aston Villa have been linked with a move for the Englishman.
