The player in question is central midfielder, Fred.
Despite garnering some hate from Manchester United fans, Fred has been a regular fixture in United’s team for several years.
The Brazilian made 35 Premier League appearances last season and 56 in all competitions.
However, the South America’s future has been up in the air for a few months now and on Saturday, Fred has said his goodbyes to Man United on social media: ” Thanks for everything, Manchester United Football Club.
“Today ends one of the most beautiful stages of my career. I lived the dream of wearing the shirt of one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“Going through ups and downs, I leave with the conviction that I always gave my best during all training sessions and games. It was five years of a true dream for me and my family. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity. Forever a Red!”
