First up, Diego Simeone has cast doubt over Alvaro Morata’s Atletico Madrid future.
The Spaniard was linked with a move to Manchester United a few weeks back.
And now, Simeone has refused to confirm Morata will be staying in Madrid: “I am not the owner of the club, I am the coach. Everyone at the club hopes he continues.
“He is working very well, in an extraordinary way. “I think that all footballers need to have confidence to do important things. He came back with great humility and wanting to work. He came back trying hard.”
Elsewhere, a potential move for Sergino Dest could be on the cards.
Manchester United have very limited options at right-back, with Diogo Dalot – Erik ten Hag’s first choice – not exactly excelling early in the campaign.

Spanish outlet Sport, meanwhile, have reported that Manchester United ‘move to sign’ Dest.
That report adds that Erik ten Hag remains confident and optimistic his former player will say ‘yes’ to the transfer.
However, a conflicting report from Mundo Deportivo has stated that Dest believes he can break into the team under Xavi and is comfortable, so has no intention of leaving, despite the interest from Manchester United.
