First up, Spanish outlet Defensa Central has reported that Real Madrid are closely monitoring Manchester United centre-back Lisandro Martinez.
It is added that with David Alaba being 30 years old and Nacho being on the verge of leaving Spain, Carlo Ancelotti would need some reinforcements in his backline and Martinez could be a perfect option for Real Madrid if they are able to bring the Argentine on board.
Next up, according to Football Insider, Manchester United have reached an agreement in principle with Cody Gakpo in January.
The personal conditions that were outlined between United and Gakpo’s agents in the summer are likely why the basic arrangement was reached so quickly. United will have to shell out €60m for Gakpo’s services.
Elsewhere, according to Sky Sport’s journalist Florian Plettenberg, Manchester United and Barcelona are inching closer to formalizing a deal for Memphis Depay. The Dutch forward has fallen down the pecking order under Xavi and the club is therefore looking to offload him to save on his wages.
And with Erik Ten Hag in need of a striker after Ronaldo’s departure, the Dutch manager is prepared to sign Depay in January.
