English giants Manchester United are considering a shock transfer avenue in the wake of ongoing issues surrounding Jadon Sancho and Antony as reports link Erik ten Hag’s Red Devils with a potential move for Dutch winger Anwar El Ghazi.

Per reports from Mail Sports’ Chris Wheeler, United are considering a free move for El Ghazi after the former Ajax academy graduate and Dutch international parted ways with PSV Eindhoven by mutual consent last week.

This comes in the wake of questions surrounding the future of Jadon Sancho after the English winger spoke out against what Ten Hag said of the player and why he has been dropped from the side, with Sancho now possibly in line to be sold in January.

Additionally, United’s recent decision to remove Antony from senior duties during the ongoing investigation surrounding claims that the Brazilian international has abused multiple women since his arrival at the club now sees Ten Hag stripped of two senior wingers, which has forced the club to act decisively to get bodies in the door.

Though a move for El Ghazi would hardly be viewed fondly by most supporters, his top-level experience could at least offer some healthy squad depth given his CV including time spent with Ajax, LOSC Lille, Aston Villa, and Everton, while his tactical versatility also cannot be understated.
