Premier League outfit Newcastle United have beaten out fierce competition to seal the signature of a highly-regarded Championship talent.
The player in question? Trevan Sanusi.
For those not familiar with his name, Sanusi is a 16-year-old attacker, who generally lines out on the left flank.
He is a product of the academy setup of Championship outfit Birmingham City, with the teen’s displays at youth level having long piqued the attentions of some of English football’s biggest clubs.
An inevitable race for his signature had, in turn, broken out over the summer, with its outcome, as alluded to above, having today been revealed.
As confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:
It is added that a further five clubs were ‘involved the race’ for Sanusi, but the allure of the project being crafted under the watch of Eddie Howe on Tyneside, evidently, proved too good to turn down.
