The news which all associated with Premier League giants Manchester United had been patiently awaiting across the last 48 hours has been confirmed late on Friday night.
The news in question? The arrival of Casemiro.
Brazilian international Casemiro, of course, was unveiled as a surprise target on the part of the Red Devils earlier this week.
After the club’s pursuit of Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot came up short, Erik ten Hag and co. swiftly turned their attentions towards Spain, and the services of Real Madrid’s experienced enforcer.
On the back of Aurelien Tchouameni’s arrival earlier this summer, murmurs had spread in the media of late that Casemiro could be available for the right price.

And, evidently, this has since proven to be the case.
‘Manchester United is delighted to announce that the club has reached agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of Casemiro.
‘The transfer is subject to the agreement of personal terms, UK visa requirements and a medical.’
