Ligue 1 heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain have, on Thursday, unveiled the club’s latest signing.
The player to have taken his talents to the Parc des Princes with a view to the new campaign? Renato Sanches.
The name of Portuguese international Sanches has, of course, taken its place centre stage in the headlines across the summer to date.
This comes with the once so highly sought after midfielder having been added to the wishlists of a number of giants from across the continent.
For some time, it had appeared as though Sanches was Italy-bound, after being identified by Serie A champions AC Milan as the ideal replacement for the outbound Franck Kessie.

As alluded to above, though, on Thursday, the Rossoneri’s pursuit of the 24-year-old has come to a definitive, and fruitless end.
As per an official statement across the website and social media platforms of the French title-holders:
‘Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce that Renato Sanches has signed a five-year contract with the reigning French champions. The Portugal midfielder is now tied the club from the French capital until 30 June 2027.’
Lille, it is understood, have secured a sum of around €15 million through Sanches’ sale.
