Hernández, who is in line for a three-year deal at the Parc des Princes, was Bayern’s record signing in the summer of 2019 when the Bavarian giants splashed €80m on the Atlético Madrid academy graduate, but with one year left on his current terms at the Allianz Arena and a host of injuries since his arrival in the Bundesliga, the new Bayern board have seen fit to allow the player to leave this summer.
Bayern has already secured a free move former Borussia Dortmund left-back Raphaël Guerreiro, who will offer cover for Canadian star Alphonso Davies, while the are club also on the verge of signing SSC Napoli’s South Korean international center-back Kim Min-Jae, thus effectively replacing Hernández across both positions he features in.
Hernández missed a total of 65 matches across his four-year stint in the German top flight, including almost the entirety of the 2022-23 campaign on account of first suffering a torn muscle bundle and then following it up with a cruciate ligament rupture.
