According to Christian Falk, RB Leipzig are competing with Premier League outfit Arsenal for Jesper Lindstrom.
Falk claims RB Leipzig are another German club that ‘appear to be sitting at the poker table with an English counterpart’, and the object of their desire is Eintracht Frankfurt’s Danish midfielder, Jesper Lindstrom.
Arsenal are also interested in the player and, after Leipzig failed with their first offer of €25m, the Bundesliga side are now preparing a higher second offer to beat the north Londoners to his signature.
The figure RB Leipzig are set to offer up in their second bid is not known, but Arsenal should be able to match any bid.
Lindstrom is an attacking midfielder by trade and scored nine and assisted four in all competitions last season.
The Gunners have made Declan Rice their priority target this summer but have also stepped up their interest in Chelsea’s Kai Havertz in recent days.
So, as they operate in similar positions, Lindstrom could be a cheaper alternative to Havertz for the north Londoners.
