Chelsea are looking to sign a new midfielder this month and have been assessing several options.
Bids have been made for Enzo Fernández and Moisés Caicedo but without success.
The Blues have now turned their attention to Everton’s Amadou Onana, but this deal also looks to be tricky.
Onana’s stance over January Chelsea move
Chelsea have made it clear that they want to sign Amadou Onana and have submitted an offer for the midfielder.
However, that offer has been rejected by Everton, according to Foot Mercato.
The Blues have made him one of their top priorities for the final week of the transfer window.
The Belgian international is focused on the rest of the season with Everton and his preference is to stay.
He only arrived on Merseyside in the summer for a fee of £33.5 million.
