Liverpool have not had a good 2022/23 season so far. They have already lost more games and conceded more goals than they did in all of last term.
This has seen Liverpool spend much of the current campaign lingering in midtable.
After beating Newcastle on Saturday evening, the Reds are 8th in the league and six points off 4th with a game in hand.
This means there remains a decent chance Liverpool could still secure Champions League football for 2023/24.
However, if they do not do so, Liverpool will lose a large chunk of revenue. Around £93m would be lost if Liverpool fail to secure any form of European football, with a major chunk still set to be missing if the top-four is not achieved.
Now, Jurgen Klopp has been asked how Liverpool missing out on CL football would impact their summer transfer window.
“It makes things more difficult but we’re still Liverpool, a big club. We will have transfer business. We have to 100% make changes in the summer.”
