Manchester United reportedly have five strikers on their list of transfer targets this summer, but are finding them all to be too expensive at the moment.
According to ESPN, Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen, Rasmus Hojlund, Randal Kolo Muani and Lautaro Martinez are their main targets for that position.
However, Man United are finding all of them currently have unrealistic valuations.
Of those five players, Hojlund is likely to be the cheapest option for the Red Devils.
But the Dane scored just seven Serie A goals last season and has little experience, meaning he would still be a major risk should Man United pursue that signing.
On paper, Harry Kane – who has Premier League experience and scored 30 league goals last season – seems like the best choice.
Whatever happens, though, it is clear Man United cannot begin 2023/24 with Anthony Martial as their only recognised striker.
Marcus Rashford can play up front, but that would weaken United’s attack from the left.
