An insight into the ongoing efforts of Premier League outfit Aston Villa to sign Nicolo Zaniolo has been provided on Friday evening.
The name of Italian international Zaniolo, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the headlines at Villa Park over the course of the last 48 hours.
This comes after word was forthcoming that Unai Emery and co. have set their sights firmly on the signature of the Galatasaray star.
Villa have enjoyed a stellar summer to date, adding all of Youri Tielemans, Pau Torres and Moussa Diaby to a squad increasingly brimming with talent.
Evidently, though, the Claret and Blue brass are not done there.
Amid ongoing efforts to crack the established ‘big-six’ order in the Premier League, the powers that be at Villa Park have identified the aforementioned Zaniolo as their latest high-profile summer target.
As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Villans have moved forward with a loan proposal worth €3 million, featuring an option to buy set at €20 million.
A further €7 million would also be on the table in potential add-ons, albeit with ‘frustration growing’ in Birmingham, owing to Galatasaray’s lengthy deliberation process.
