Arsenal have agreed a deal worth £105m to sign West Ham and England midfielder, Declan Rice.
Talks are continuing between the clubs over how the deal will be structured for the 24-year-old, but it is expected that the Hammers captain will be plying his trade at the Emirates come the 2023/24 season.
Now, an insight into the meeting held between Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta and Declan Rice has been provided.
A report from the Times suggests Rice clearly did well to impress Arteta during their meeting, showing that he’s a quick learner as the Spanish tactician spoke about his plan for him in this Arsenal side.
When Declan Rice’s signing is made official, it will be a record fee for Arsenal and a record for a British player – the previous being Jack Grealish’s £100m transfer to Manchester City in 2021.
However, Rice is expected to be well worth the money the Gunners are set to pay for him.
