An update on the plans of the powers that be at Premier League giants Manchester United to unveil the club’s latest summer signing has been provided on Thursday evening.
The player in question? Rasmus Hojlund.
The name of frontman Hojlund has of course taken its place centre stage in the headlines on the red half of Manchester for several weeks now.
This comes after, first, confirmation was forthcoming that the Danish sensation had been identified as the first-choice striker target on the part of the powers that be at Old Trafford.
Negotiations, in turn, were long kicked into gear between the respective boards at United and Serie A outfit Atalanta.
And, after seeing a number of bids knocked back by their counterparts in Bergamo, in the end, the brass at the Theatre of Dreams got the job done.
🚨 Manchester United will pay Atalanta fixed fee of €75m + €10m add-ons for Rasmus Hojlund. 20yo Denmark striker has agreed 5+1yr contract – still needs to be finalised. #Atalanta were seeking €90m, but #MUFC secured a package worth €85m @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/iDnAUBvBH8

Just when, though, will the 20-year-old at long last be unveiled as the latest addition to Erik ten Hag’s squad?
Well, as alluded to above, as much, this evening, has been revealed.
The info comes courtesy of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has first confirmed that Hojlund has officially put pen to paper on his contract with Manchester United.
The plan, in turn, is to present the gifted Dane to the Old Trafford faithful ahead of the club’s friendly meeting with Ligue 1 outfit RC Lens on Saturday afternoon.
