Ahead of what was an expected move to Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Nassr to join forces with Cristiano Ronaldo, Moroccan star midfielder Hakim Ziyech could struggle to find a move away from Stamford Bridge after multiple concerns were raised during his medical in the run-up to his move to the Roshn Saudi League side.

According to CBSSports duo Ben Jacobs and James Benge, the 30-year-old former Ajax star failed to truly settle at Chelsea after three seasons in the English capital, but may now struggle to find a parachute move away from Stamford Bridge.

Due to the concerns that have surfaced regarding both his knee and hip, Al-Nassr returned to the negotiating table but only with an offer that included a wage that was reduced by a whopping 40%, with the club seemingly unwilling to allow the same measure of risk on account of medical findings.

Per Benge, “In the likely event that the Hakim Ziyech deal falls apart, sources say Al Nassr would switch their focus to Bernardo Silva. Al Hilal also want the Man City playmaker. Their shared owners PIF would lead negotiations. Al Nassr hope Ronaldo could swing it.”

“Further tests did not allay concerns over Ziyech’s fitness. Al Nassr has tabled an offer on significantly reduced terms but acknowledges that it is highly unlikely Ziyech will join them.”
