Napoli have bolstered their forward line with the signing of striker Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.
The well-travelled Belgian is reunited with Antonio Conte with whom he won the Scudetto at Inter Milan in 2021. Lukaku is reported to have cost Napoli around £25million with a further £12m in potential add-ons.
Lukaku’s form at San Siro prompted Chelsea to sign the 31-year-old for a second time but he made just 26 league appearances, scoring eight times, at Stamford Bridge before being shipped out on loan to Inter and then Roma.
He has a proven record in Italy with 70 goals in 129 Serie A games.
His arrival in Naples may spell the end of Victor Osimhen’s time at the club. Nigeria international Osimhen is a target for several clubs, including Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain as well as Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli.
Romelu is proud to be one of us!
