A report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter earlier this week claimed that the interest from Liverpool in Doku is serious. The 21-year-old winger has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past as well.
In terms of a potential transfer fee, it was reported that Renns will look to make a profit on the €25 million they paid for him from Anderlecht in 2020.
Doku has been a key feature for the French side since his move from Belgium, scoring six and assisting two in 29 Ligue 1 ties last season.
Doku can play on the left-wing but he is natural on the right, meaning he would be excellent cover for Mohamed Salah.
Now though, French football expert Jonathan Johnson has provided his opinion on Liverpool signing Doku:
“My personal opinion, however, is that he’s probably not quite ready to jump straight up to a club like Liverpool at this moment in time.
