Cancelo’s Manchester City career seemingly came to an abrupt end in January when he was loaned out to Bayern Munich despite the fact City had very little natural cover at left-back for him.
However, City did not need it and have already won the Premier League and FA Cup, with the Champions League and treble just one game away.
Now, a summer move for the Portuguese has been touted, with a reported £35m price-tag on the full-back’s head.
And whilst Cancelo would be a good fit for Arsenal and make an excellent replacement for Kieran Tierney, the defender is seemingly attracting interest from Barcelona as well.
However, as per a fresh update from Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona’s financial situation is slowing things down:
“For Barcelona, everything is slow because of the financial situation, the Messi priority and the La Liga conversation for Financial Fair Play,” he said.
