Jarrod Bowen had an excellent 2021/22 campaign which saw him score 12 and assist 12 in 36 Premier League outings.
Such form played a major role in the Hammers securing a 7th-place finish and, at the same time, has garnered Bowen a fair bit of transfer interest.
The now four-time capped England international has been most heavily linked with Arsenal and Liverpool so far this summer. However, a move to Arsenal does not seem too likely at present.
Speaking about Arsenal’s recent links to the 25-year-old on Wednesday, Fabrizio Romano had this to say:
“There’s been increased speculation surrounding Jarrod Bowen in recent days, so I thought I’d clear things up with my understanding of the situation,” Romano said.
“There are no Arsenal offers for Jarrod Bowen so far. The winger has always been highly regarded by many top clubs but I’m not sure West Ham want to lose a key player like him.
Whilst this is a blow for Arsenal, it does also bring to light the fact the Gunners could do with an extra right-winger this summer.
Arsenal have plenty of depth of the left, but they are struggling for any real quality on the right outside of Bukayo Saka.
Nicolas Pepe is still at the club, but recent comments from Edu suggest he is not wanted:
“When the player is 26-plus, big salary & he’s not performing? He’s killing you, that kind of player, because you don’t have a valuation to sell the player – Arsenal, London, beautiful, everything is fantastic – and has a good salary. How do you move this player?”
