Jesus started in Brazil’s last World Cup group game vs Cameroon but picked up an injury in the process.
It has since been revealed that the striker is out for the rest of the World Cup and also looks set to miss some games for Arsenal.
Some sources suggest that Jesus is out for a month, meaning a return in early January, but some have claimed three months, which would be a huge blow for Arsenal.
Jesus has lacked goals in recent months, but his pressing and link-up play is vital to Arsenal’s success this season.
Their only other striker at present is Eddie Nketiah, who is yet to find the net in the Premier League this season.
However, they do have Folarin Balogun out on loan with French outfit Reims.
And now, Fabrizio Romano has spoken out on the possibility of Balogun being recalled by Arsenal:
“Gabriel Jesus and those close to him are still waiting for official communication on the injury, we need to wait for details,” Romano said.
“At the moment there are no contacts with Reims or with Balogun’s agents to recall him, we will see if it changes but this is not the case now.”
