Tottenham are not having a great 2022/23 campaign despite signing a number of players during the summer window.
Spurs currently sit 5th in the Premier League table. They are five points off 4th and have played one more game than Manchester United, meaning that gap could easily drop to eight.
Tottenham also have the worst defensive record of the top-six, with both Liverpool and Chelsea conceding less than the Lilywhites despite sitting 9th and 10th in the division.
This has seen some pressure mount on Antonio Conte in recent weeks, with the Italian’s latest outing seeing his side rolled over by bitter rivals, Arsenal.
Now, the Evening Standard are reporting that Thomas Tuchel would be interested in the Tottenham job if Antonio Conte leaves the club in the coming months, despite his Chelsea connection.
Conte has consistently refused to commit to Spurs beyond the end of the season, when his contract expires, but the club have an option to trigger a 12-month extension to his deal.
Should Tuchel join the club, he would follow Conte and Jose Mourinho as successful Chelsea bosses to take over Tottenham.
