Tottenham Hotspur’s search for a new goalkeeper has taken a step in the right direction on Sunday, it has been revealed.
Securing reinforcements between the posts, of course, has emerged as something of a priority for the powers that be at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with a view to next season.
This comes after long-time no.1 Hugo Lloris last week announced his intention to bring an end to the north London chapter of his career this summer.

A host of shot-stoppers, in turn, have since been tipped as potential replacements for Lloris in incoming boss Ange Postecoglou’s squad.
If the latest word stemming from the media late on Sunday is anything to go by, though, it would appear that Daniel Levy and co. have now identified a clear first-choice target.
The man in question? Brentford standout David Raya.

Spanish international Raya, for his part, is understood to be keen on the prospect of a move to north London.
One major stumbling block, however, comes in the form of Brentford’s valuation of the club’s star no.1.
The Bees, for their part, are demanding £40 million to part with Raya, an asking price which Tottenham, it would appear, have no intention of meeting.
